Lincoln & Daryl

Daryl Ong and Lincoln Lee did our unit & school proud by doing their jobs with gusto!  The couple, who offered them jobs, were impressed with their turn-out, quality of work and, most important of all, their attitude.

Job Week (14/3/2009)

The boys, Ms Dza and I had an enjoyable 1st day of Job Week!

The day kicked off with basic briefing and role play...

And we sang songs:

We would also like to place on record our thanks to the following parents who came down to offer their help in chaperoning the cubs:
  • Mrs Lai (Glenn's mom)
  • Mrs Ho (Sherman Ho mom)
  • Mdm Cynthia Wang (Nicholas Ng's mom)
  • Mrs Tan (Pin Yuan's mom)

Fatigue duty during Sports Day (6/3/09)

A few of the boys helped out at the School Annual Sports Meet this year.

District Field Day cum Campfire (21/2/09)

In commemoration of Founders' Day and Tampines District 21st birthday, the district had organised these events. The Falcon cubs actively participated in the events in support of the district.

We came in 2nd only for one of the events, Xbox, and lost all the other events.  A role model, to which Falcons should look up to, is Griffith Primary School.  Under the leadership of Mr Zaidy, the cubs from Griffith clinched the gold trophy for almost all of the events!  From observation, the key to their success seems to hinge on the unit's unity, discipline and sheer tenacity!  While waiting for the campfire to start in the evening, the Griffith's cubs were seen seated and waiting patiently at the basketball court.  Their level of discipline is indeed commendable.

In the evening, the boys had a great time singing and participating in the campfire.  4 of the boys even performed in collaboration with Oneida Scouts' Percussion Group.

The campfire was also a great place to touch-base with leaders from other units!
